Crushing Obstacles During the Pandemic

It may seem like we were swallowed up by the pandemic, but actually, we’ve been hard at work.

Covid-19 has certainly presented some interesting obstacles, but it also provided some unique opportunities.  Raptor research was delayed as our resources became more difficult to reach, so we turned our focus to Raptors’ Realm development. We’ve improved the graphics, finessed the flight, and laid the design groundwork for the game AI, among other things. We’ve also been working on our technical resources, like updating some of our software.

Many of the conventions that we rely on for networking, information gathering, and marketing were cancelled or moved to online formats. However, as conventions went virtual, we gained access to conventions around the world that we could never have afforded to attend physically, like Gamescom in Europe.

Now that we’ve navigated these challenges, it’s time to conquer the next challenge, community outreach. Community outreach has always been a challenge for us, and recent times have not made it any easier.

However, we are determined to shed our ostrich like habits and don our raptor wings. In the weeks to come, you can look forward to a long overdue Dev Update in the Game Den, some new posts in other parts of the Indie Den, and more Raptor Trivia in the Trivia Den, the first of which will be linked here once posted. So, keep a sharp eye out for more from SP Entertainment.
